560 – The number of Iraqi civilians killed in Iraq since the start of the conflict between Israel and Lebanon

Perhaps Israel provides another great opportunity for Bush – to keep the media attention off of Iraq. It is simple to distract the A.D.D. inflicted media from other happenings in the world, even when they are only a couple hundred miles away.

Even more amazing is that Bush has admitted the violence in Baghdad is “terrible”:

“Obviously the violence in Baghdad is still terrible,” Bush said during a joint White House news conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Bush had praised al-Maliki’s signature program to improve Baghdad security during their last meeting in Baghdad in June.

Terrible also describes the Bush administrations foreign policy and policies for Iraq. Stay the course = oh shit.
