With all this talk of race baiting and racism from people on the left (which I believe is utter bullshit), I want to raise a serious question.

Last week in Blue Ohio News, I posted about this flyer that the Blackwell campaign put out:

And here is the story that followed:

A group of more than two dozen black leaders and activists from Cuyahoga County met Saturday in Warrensville Heights, a suburb east of Cleveland, to coordinate an out-reach effort to black voters on behalf of Democratic gubernatoiral candidate Ted Strickalnd.

Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones, one the city’s most influential black leaders, organized the meeting. Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, Cuyahoga County Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones and Warrensville Heights Mayor Marcia Fudge also attended.

Strickland’s rival, Republican Ken Blackwell, who is black, is actively trying to woo black voters from Cuyahoga County, the most Democratic vote-rich county in the state. Blackwell recently distributed a flyer that features a photo of a black man frightened by the sight of Strickland’s name. Blackwell also touted recently the endorsements of black ministers from Central Ohio.

So a black candidate’s campaign puts out this flyer that the black community found offensive and decided to take action. So how does the Ohio Republican Party respond?

Mr. [Bob] Bennett [Ohio GOP Char] ended his apology letter by asking Mr. Strickland to denounce what he called a “racially motivated hate campaign” by some Democrats against Mr. Blackwell, who is African-American. A GOP spokesman said Mr. Bennett was referring to a Cleveland flyer from a group called “Blacks Against Blackwell,” which reportedly dubs Mr. Blackwell “Our color — but not our kind.”

Mr. Strickland said he knew nothing of that flyer or the group behind it, and he criticized Mr. Bennett for equating it with Mr. Lankford’s e-mail.

So when a group of black citizens take offense to a flyer put out by a campaign that they construe as racist, then they are acting like racists? What amazes me is that it is ok for a bunch of white, right wingeers (and even some left) to jump on this “racist” band wagon, yet when blacks do it then they are either “playing the race card” or being “racist”. This reminds me of Hillary’s “plantation” comment a few months ago, in which a bunch of white right-wingers came out saying she was being “racist”. You didn’t here the black citizens complain about it.

Now here is an idea – let the black community decide what they feel is offensive. This self-righteous bunch of “crackers” appear to think that the black community can not speak for themselves or be a good judge of what is offensive to them or not. These are the people that are actually being the racist just by their own actions of screaming racism so much. They try to invent new signs of racism to further promote their own agendas. That is the real problem.

This leaves us with the main question. Will those that are going after a blogger for a picture also go after the Ohio Republican Party for the same thing? My guess is no, because that would go against their main purpose – political advancement. Not only are these people racists, they are also true hypocrites.
