Here is the lineup for next week’s visit by The Daily Show

LeBron James, Borat Sagdiyev and Ohio State University political science Professor John Mueller will be guests of Jon Stewart next week, when “The Daily Show” hosts “Indecision 2006: Battlefield Ohio, The Daily Show’s Midwest Midterm Midtacular” at OSU’s Roy Bowen Theater.

The Comedy Central show will air nightly Monday through Thursday as Stewart and his cast of commentators “attempt to answer the age-old question: Just what the hell is a Buckeye?”

Certain to add little light but plenty of levity to answering that question — or any about Ohio politics — are the Cavs’ superstar and Borat, the Kazakhstani TV character created by Sacha Baron Cohen. But Mueller, the Woody Hayes Chair of National Security Studies at OSU’s Mershon Center, should at least have some familiarity with the history of the Buckeye.

Publicists for “The Daily Show” say episodes will include “Hello Columbus,” a tour of the city that correspondent Samantha Bee “believes she grew up in;” “The Swing State,” in which John Oliver “looks at the same small town that is always on everyone’s campaign trail;” and “In Search of the Next President,” in which Rob Riggle seeks out the next president in Ohio.

Correspondent Jason Jones must still be busy stalking his hero, Carl “You Jackin’ It?” Monday, in Cleveland.

Think Ohio Republicans are looking forward to Stewart’s visit?

Not so much.

It’s hard to believe Ohio has become such a big played in the political world. It does put me right where the action is though – and that I won’t complain about.
