The right wing hacks are all in an uproar over Carol Browner, Obama’s energy and environment adviser, being a member of some group called Socialist International’s Commission for a Sustainable World Society. That terrible S word shows up there, so that means people like Drudge have placed their tin-foil hats firmly upon their heads. Of course nothing could be further from the truth:

The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, founded by the U.S. government to support democracy in developing nations, works with Socialist International and other political parties “to help foster open, accountable and responsive political systems.”
