Trump Really Loves The Police, But Doesn't Believe Them

Following a gushy love for the police by Donald Trump at the 12th Republican Presidential debate, the GOP front-runner quickly turned to a totally different stance.

Trump Really Loves The Police, But Doesn't Believe Them

Since news broke of a Trump supporter assaulting a protester at a Trump rally this week, the media has been wanting to get the views of Donald Trump about the incident. Well last night they did.

First to catch up those that may have missed it. During a Trump rally in North Carolina earlier this week the police were escorting out a protester. This is something we have become accustomed to seeing. But then something happened, and here’s video of that:

As police were escorting out the protester, a man in the crowd decides to sucker punch the guy. Needless to say this quickly blew up on social media, and news came out yesterday that the assailant had been charged with assault:

A man who attended Donald Trump’s rally in North Carolina was arrested and charged Thursday after multiple videos posted online appear to show him punching a protester in the face and later saying, “The next time we see him, we might have to kill him.”

John McGraw, 78, was questioned and arrested by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office in connection with the incident after police identified him as the man in the video, public information officer Sgt. Sean Swain told CNN. He was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and communicating threats.

John McGraw also tried to say he didn’t know if the man he punched was a terrorist or not and went on to say next time he might have to “kill him”.

Then last night Trump did something in the debate we have come to expect. He went to sing the praises of police and saying how we need to stop disrespecting him. In the past he has even tried to blame President Obama with not having the backs of police.

So, if this is Trump’s views, then certainly he would have the backs of the police who viewed the video, witnessed, questioned and then decided to charge John McGraw, right? Well not entirely. Right after the debate, Trump was asked again about the punch. He said he had seen video and that he saw what looked like an elbow being thrown, but wasn’t sure if he actually hit the guy.

Wasn’t sure? So is Donald Trump saying that he doesn’t believe the hard working police, who saw this either in person or on video? Or maybe Donald Trump doesn’t really believe #PoliceLivesMatter when it comes to something that could tarnish his brand. Either way we just get another example that Donald J. Trump is nothing more than a fraud who will only say what benefits him personally.
