Trump Seeks To Expand The Apprentice To The White House

Per Chris Christie, Donald Trump is looking to have Congress pass a law, essentially turning out government into his old reality show.

Trump Seeks To Expand The Apprentice To The White House

This is very scary:

If he wins the presidency, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump would seek to purge the federal government of officials appointed by Democratic President Barack Obama and could ask Congress to pass legislation making it easier to fire public workers, Trump ally, Chris Christie, said on Tuesday.

Christie, who is governor of New Jersey and leads Trump’s White House transition team, said the campaign was drawing up a list of federal government employees to fire if Trump defeats Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the Nov. 8 presidential election.

We aren’t talking about cabinet secretaries or their immediate staff. We’re talking about any government employee hired under the Obama administration. Let that sink in for a minute.

In business a huge cost is turnover. You got to take time and spend money to train new employees on how to work with your systems and your rules and procedures. People already talk about the bureaucratic nightmares of the government. Can you imagine how much this will increase it?

The problems won’t stop at the bureaucracy though. What person is going to want to accept a job where they could lose it in the very near future, simply because the person in the White House when they got hired is no longer there and a new party runs it now?

You want to talk economic uncertainty and employment instability by one of the nation’s largest employers? Well you got it!

But  the troubling parts of this article don’t stop here. This literally made my draw drop:

“As you know from his other career, Donald likes to fire people,” Christie told a closed-door meeting with dozens of donors at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, according to an audio recording obtained by Reuters and two participants in the meeting.

I’ve had the very unfortunate pleasure of firing people before. You call someone in and tell them that their future is now in the most uncertain of grounds and that you are taking away their livelihood. When you look into the eyes of the person you are firing and see the despair come over their face, you can’t help but feel their pain unless you aren’t human. Any person that claims to “like” doing that is nothing but a monster.

Anyone trying to sell the business sense or even compassion of Donald J. Trump might as well be selling ocean front property in Utah. It simply does not exist.
