Iraq has extended their constitution deadline. This puts a
bump in the road for the administrations “plans” for Iraq.

Since we have started this war, the reasons have changed
more than the seasons. First it was WMD then it was a 9/11 link. Finally we were
there to achieve democracy in the region. Well as the constitution continues to
get near competition, we hear more and more that the Iraq may not be as
democratic as we thought. As matter of fact, women’s rights are under major fire
and could be worse than before we invaded Iraq.

Now the next question is going to be “What is it all for?”
Why have we spent 100’s of billions of dollars, lost nearly 1900 soldier lives
and alienated ourselves from the world if our goal can not even be achieved? “A
free and democratic Iraq is in the best interest of everyone” That is something
we hear our President say almost every time he addresses the nation. Now it is
looking like we won’t even have that.

The recent elections in Iran should teach us a lesson. The
Muslim world is not that thrilled with democracy. It is not in their nature. The
fact that we are in Iraq forcing democracy is a contradiction of terms in
itself.

So start asking yourself what the new reason for this
costly war is going to be. The President sure as hell won’t tell us.
