It has been over two years since the now infamous New York Times article by
Robert Novak appeared, which identified Joe Wilson’s wife, Valerie Plame, as a
CIA operative. Throughout these two years numerous questions have been asked and
very few answered, however that will all change in the next week or so.

The grand jury investigation is wrapping up and after Judith Miller’s
testimony Friday new information has come out. One lawyer close to the case has
said that the efforts to limit the damage of Joe Wilson’s criticism went as high
as Dick Cheney. Yesterday, on ABC’s This Week, George Stephanopoulos dropped a
new ball. He said that he has had sources tell him that President Bush and
Vice-President Cheney are both involved.

One thing is for certain – Patrick Fitzgerald has a tough road ahead of him
now. Will we be seeing a report come from his office or indictments that can
bring some of the most powerful men in the country down? That is the question
that has everyone wondering and some at the White House in a state of anxiety
over. Hopefully we will have new information this week.
