Sorry for the lack of posts today. I have been without internet for most of
the day because of high winds. Luckily the tornado’s didn’t come through here
but my heart goes out to all those suffering in neighboring Indiana. I have
witnessed and lived through some deadly twisters in my life and they can come up
on you with no warning.

For some good news, CNN is reporting that Charles Thompson, the death row
inmate who walked out of prison in Texas last week, has been captured in
Louisiana. That should help put the family of his victims at ease considering
they have been in protective custody since last Thursday.

Ironically, the brother of one of the victims has been on CNN talking about
this ordeal. He seems pretty irritated with the Sheriff’s office. He said that
while they have been in protective custody that they have had to pay for
everything themselves. Pretty sad when the Sherriff’s department screws up and
the victims have to pay even more.
