It was 25 years ago today that the world was prematurely
robbed of one of its greatest peace makers. At 10:50 pm eastern time on December
8, 1980 John Lennon was shot and killed outside of his New York apartment.

Hundreds of mourners are expected to gather in the
Strawberry Fields section of Central Park today to pay their respects. In
Liverpool, a shrine is to be created beneath a statue of Lennon.

Please take a moment to think about the greatness done by
Lennon. His music changed the world as millions around the world all shared the
same dream as him – peace.

We need John today more than ever. We need him to become
that single voice for millions again. While he is not here physically he will
live on forever in our hearts and minds.

Peace John.
