Baghdad Governor Suspends Cooperation With U.S. Forces

Baghdad provincial Governor Husayn al-Tahan said he is suspending all cooperation with U.S. forces until an independent investigation is launched into the killing of 20 Shi’a, allegedly in or near a mosque.

But the media doesn’t report the good stuff

Many dead in US-Iraq base blast

The blast targeted a group of recruits, causing mass casualties At least 40 people have been killed by a suicide bomb inside a military base housing US and Iraqi forces near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

But Condi told us on numerous talk shows yesterday everything is going good.

At least 81 Iraqis die in violence, including raid

Hours after a twilight raid in a Shiite Muslim neighborhood of the capital, virtually the only certainty about the operation was that it left at least 16 Iraqis dead.

But according to Rummy this is media exaggeration.

Shiites Denounce U.S. Over Raid

New violence flared Monday in northern Iraq with 40 dead in a suicide bombing, while Shiite leaders cut off political talks and denounced the United States over a weekend raid that they said killed worshippers in a mosque.

Wow there must be some masterful plan of collusion going on here that has caused the media from not only the United States, but also foreign countries to do nothing but exaggerate what is going on in Iraq.

Actually the fact is these are the facts. This is just one day’s worth of news and the day has barely started. Every day we see these headlines and they are not exaggerations or lies, they are the cold hard facts of what is happening on the ground in Iraq. Some on the right would like you to believe that this is some masterful conspiracy drummed up by the left and the media but it isn’t.

What we have is an administration that would rather lie to the American people and themselves about what is happening in Iraq just to save face. This is the same administration that has major problems with accepting responsibility (flash back: “your doing a heckuva job Brownie”). What is really sad is there are Republicans in Congress who can see through the Bush lies on Iraq.

We all know war is a nasty business but lying about how nasty it is, well that is just plain wrong. Sends a wrong message to our troops? I think the media reporting on what is truley going on and the hell they live through there is perfect support for our troops. Bush and Co. lying about how hard it is there and the threats they face every minute of every day, well that is a downright slap in the face to our troops.

For those on the right that still believe what Bush says when it comes to Iraq, I have a gift for you.

Yes you need the tinfoil hat because you are falling into the deep conspiracy theory that is created by and called Bush.
