Two new polls have Bush still in the gutter. First off, the WSJ released the results of a Harris poll today. That poll is putting him at 36%. That is down 4 points from last month and only 2 points about his all time low of 36% recorded by Harris last Novemeber.

CNN/Usa Today/Gallup released a poll yesterday that isn’t as nice. While the approval rating is the same as the Harris poll, 36% is the lowest Gallup has recorded for Bush. On top of that 60% believe the war is going poorly.

Another interesting point in the Gallup poll is the fact that 55% said they will vote Democrat in the Fall and only 39% would vote Republican. The Harris poll, however, rated Republicans with a 3 point lead in job performance over Democrats in Congress (24% vs 27%).

While Harris is giving the Republicans a small lead in job performance they did not ask the question of who people would support this fall. Over all, all the polls are putting the Democrats in the lead and that is a very good thing.
