So much of this week was focused on the leaked NIE and the Democrats considered it a major trump on the Republicans in the home stretch of the election season. With all of that, who could have ever imagined the tri-fecta that was given to the Democrats today?

Mark Foley has been the hot story of the past couple hours, but two other big stories today provide serious ammunition to the Democrats. The Woodward book and the release of the report showing a very active Jack Abramoff in the White House. So now will the Democrats be able to cash in on this great news? We are just a little over a month from the elections and with Congress now in recess, there is no chance of an October surprise coming in the means of legislation. The only surprise can come from the White House.

Democrats have some great campaign tools now and the extra rush of Clinton motivating the base in his interview last week. Perhaps the owner of the October surprise can be the left this year. That would be really nice.
