Whistle Blower has become a bad term in the Bush administration and they won’t stop trying to silent them:

Two senior officials at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives who opposed many questionable management and spending decisions by the agency’s former director are being moved to lower-ranking positions effective Thursday, officials said.

Deputy Director Edgar A. Domenech, who also served as acting director last year, is being moved out of ATF headquarters to lead the agency’s Washington field office. The assistant director for field operations, Michael Bouchard, will become an assistant to Michael J. Sullivan, a U.S. attorney who is temporarily running ATF.

The transfers are widely seen within ATF as demotions. They come seven months after the sudden departure of Carl J. Truscott, the former director, who clashed with Domenech and other senior executives over spending and management practices.

This reminds me of someone else. Remember Bunnatine H. Greenhouse? She was the chief procurement officer for the Army Corp of Engineers, which handled the contracts for Iraq. She told the Senate Democrats about questionable contracts that the White House was involved in and granted to companies such as Haliburton. In turn she got demoted after 20+ years of remarkable service.

Now we see news reports of all this contractor fraud happening in Iraq. This is costing the taxpayers billions and Greenhouse was trying to get the problems fixed. Look how they treated her.

These “non-binding” resolutions are all fun, but it is time for the Democrats to get to work. The people in this country are anxious and want progress. That progress includes hauling every corrupt person in this administration to the hill and question them. Action must be taken now. Soldiers are dying, good people are losing their jobs and our tax dollars are being loss. If they don’t act now then come 2008 things could be very bad.
