In a blog post on the Tax Day Tea Party site, Eric Odom has stated he has received threatening phone calls. He then goes on to blame the left for all the outrage:

You may or may not have heard, but the far left and the drive by media are pushing a major narrative campaign in an attempt to paint the entire tea party movement as a fringe movement that uses violence and racism in its efforts. This effort is being orchestrated by left wing power brokers, and it’s a gross misrepresentation of what is really going on.

The campaign against us started over a few alleged isolated incidents after the healthcare vote. While these particular incidents are only a small fraction of what Congress deals with all year (do we even need to mention the death threats that Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and many on the right deal with every day?), we want to be clear in saying that we strongly oppose this type of behavior and we condemn the actions taken against Congress if they turn out to be factual.

But that’s not what is interesting. This afternoon Eric Cantor denounced people raising money off of these threats. He said the Democrats are doing that right now (fyi – I’m on tons of mailing lists and have yet to receive a single donation request from this). So how does Odom finish his post?

Capture

Yup – he’s there fundraising off of the threats. Will Eric Cantor denounce this? I doubt it. As matter of fact I think Cantor might be trying to figure out how to raise his own money off of it.

(PS – Yes Drudge, I stole your light. BWAHAHAHAAH!)
