Wolf Blitzer just got done with a White House briefing. They are saying that Army and Marines will have their tours extended 3-6 months. Also additional National Guard will be called up as well as reserves. The financial side of this is “well into the billions”.

This will throw a renewed voice into the debate – the governors. They are involved with sending the National Guard, and I got a feeling there is going to be a huge fight between the states and White House on this. Democrats won big last year in the Governor races, and we already had some prominent ones speaking out against Iraq, like Schwarzenegger.
