What is it that draws all this corruption to San Diego.
This week the residents of San Diego went to the polling places to elect a new
mayor. In four days, San Diego has seen three different mayors. The first
resigned due to mounting fiscal problems at city hall, and then the second had
to resign because he was convicted of illegal campaign contributions from the
stripper industry.

The people of San Diego, the seventh largest city in the
country, took to the Polls this Tuesday to elect a new mayor. The election ended
with Democrat Donna Frye getting 43 percent of the votes. Under San Diego law,
for a mayor to be elected they have to receive a majority of the votes. This
leads to a second election between Frye and the former police chief, Republican
Jerry Sanders who received 27 percent of the votes.

San Diego has seemed to become the magnet of political
corruption lately. Randy “Duke” Cunningham is the areas Representative who is
under a Department of Justice investigation for his dealings with a defense
contractor. He announced last week that he would not seek re-election next fall.
Perhaps the people of San Diego will start to see the reality of the Republican
Party – that they can not be trusted!
