Well I said earlier that Bush needs to make changes on Iraq and he must of
read my blog (just a joke). I just read this article:

WASHINGTON – President Bush promised to “take to heart” suggestions on
Iraq he heard Thursday from former secretaries of defense and state who have
disagreed — sometimes sharply in the past but apparently only mildly in
person — with his approach there.

Bush offered no evidence he plans any significant changes in strategy.

The president invited more than a dozen foreign policy leaders from
previous administrations, split nearly evenly between Democrat and
Republican, to the White House for a detailed briefing on Iraq. The update
was given by Gen. George Casey, the top American commander in Iraq, and
Zalmay Khalilzad, the U.S. ambassador in Baghdad, along with current
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld

Listening is good but will he actually take into consideration the ideas of
these people? That is a big question yet to answered. I would like to think
optimistically on this but if the past is any indications then this is most
likely a political stunt to try and overshadow the fact that Iraq is not looking
as good as once portrayed by the administration.

If he does decide to listen to these people then we will most likely have
another speech in the near future or it will be included in his State of the
Union address.
