This just takes the cake:

Sen. Barack Obama’s refusal to wear an American flag lapel pin along with a photo of him not putting his hand over his heart during the National Anthem led conservatives on Internet and in the media to question his patriotism.

Hand over the heart for the Pledge of Allegiance – yet, for that National Anthem, well there has never been standard of doing that. Some choose to, other’s choose not to.

I have been to enough Nascar races and baseball games over the years. The National Anthem is sung during those and maybe 50% of the people put their hands over their hearts. So I guess the neocons are saying 1/2 the Nascar fans and 1/2 the baseball fans are not “patriotic enough” also.

And as far as this entire lapel pin thing goes, well Bob has more on that one.
